The brightest star in the Southern Cross
Alfa Crux is named after the brightest star in the Cruz del Sur constellation. At the foot of the Andes, in the high Uco Valley, the grapes ripen under intense mountain sun and nights full of stars — slowly, concentrated, in the thin air of 1,200 metres.
In the estate's cellar, a skylight draws a cross of light across the rows of barrels. There the wines rest for 18 months in French oak and a further 12 months in bottle before they leave the winery.
